This is a movie that I've seen so many times but will still drop in on when I see it listed. And after all those viewings, I have to admit that I always thought Phoenix was the late wife's brother 😏
My daughter is so freaked out by this movie. I really enjoyed this movie and think it is very effective until the end. It just tries a bit too hard. Other than that, I dig it.
I’ll tell her. She always wants to watch it again though! I’m sure no one has been able to give him any notes on his endings since the Sixth Sense which is probably the issue. Haha.
I actually really liked this movie. Funny, scary, and oddly touching. Saw it at the Mall of America when it came out, and can say it was a great experience!
I hated signs as a kid because it scared me but ive grown to appreciate signs because of how GOOD it was at scaring me. Have I watched it again since I was a kid? No—why do you ask?
True! It comes to mind whenever people talk about “dont show the monster”. Literally only like 10 seconds of screentime! Ill have to put it back on my list…
Yup! And basically before that moment, it's tricks of light and shadows. Really cool actually how Shyamalan was able to build such terror and suspense while doing very little 👏🏼
My wife often leaves half-drunk glasses of water around the house and I always find myself thinking, "What is this, Signs?"
When I've said that out loud to her, she just gives me a blank look, having no idea what I'm talking about.
BAHAHA YES! Random film references!! I'm all for it lol 🤓
Thanks so much, Nathan, for taking the time to read and leave comments on this post!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Oh yeah, I will definitely be watching this movie again and again. Maybe have it on in the background to keep me company lol
Who knew the Gibson-Phoenix combo would work?! 🤓 I think they did quite a good job playing brothers!
One of my favourite M Night films. Also one of my first “date” movies as a young dude. His early films were great for movie dates
So true. Pretty sure I watched Sixth Sense *and* The Village on dates.
Amazing - that needs to be a post: "Horror Movies for your Next Date night" lol 🤣
So I really like his movies, I know that he is quite polarizing lol But I think he has added something really special to horror films!
And I can see this being good date movie! haha! 🤓
Thank you so much, Teagan, for stopping by to read my post and leave a thoughtful comment. Really appreciate it!! 🙏🏼
Oh man, I need to rewatch this!
It's a low commitment kind of movie, which is perfect for me these days haha
Next week's Cinemuse film review... not so much... 😶
Ooo interesting, looking forward to next week!

The ending seems to really divide people! lol Like any M. Night Shyamalan film? 😅
Tell your daughter that I feel the SAME way - this movie is F R E A K Y. Thanks for reading and commenting, Jessica!! 🙏🏼

If I had watched this when it came out, I probably would never have watched another M. Night Shyamalan movie again for the rest of my life lol 😅
LOL you should give it another go! It's a quiet little film but it has its punches. But really, it's not over the top like modern day stuff!!

I haven't seen this for sooo long! Thanks for the reminder
This was first viewing!! I can't believe I let so much time go by without having seen it lol
Oh my pleasure, I'm big on retrospect movie watching haha The contemporary stuff doesn't hold my attention as well. 🤓
🤣
A lot of new films aren't great and try to be woke instead of good unfortunately. I've been thinking of rewatching the old Scream films lately 🔪
🤣 LOL amazing.
And yesssss!! I should revisit those toooo!
