We could ACTUALLY play the Mrs. Doubtfire game, but just with I Love Lucy quotes!

Oh thank you, thank you, my friend!! 🙏Thanks for reading and leaving a lovely comment. 🫶

Is my family the only one to have done this? Did a piece of pop culture sweep over your family too?? (Like BOTH sides of my family are obsessed with this show. 😅 And I could never quite explain it...)

Nothing that enraptured the whole of my family 😅 The closest was probably Jeopardy! (P.s. if the question is ever a famous piece of American literature from the 1800s, it is usually “What is The Scarlet Letter?”😂)

I definitely remember watching “I Love Lucy” (and “Bewitched” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and “Mary Tyler Moore” and “Adams Family”) when Nick at Nite would replay old television classics. When we were all together, it was usually me and my grandparents, and my grandmother was very into Murder, She Wrote; Diagnosis: Murder; Touched By An Angel; Walker, Texas Ranger; Jeopardy; and Wheel of Fortune. My grandfather has probably seen every episode of MASH at least forty times, but unfortunately, it was not as riveting for a younging, so the MASH theme song functioned excellently for me as a lullaby. When I would spend time with my cousins, it was The Simpsons! So a nice little selection across the decades!

Jeopardy, incredible! Oh man, god bless Nick at Nite. All of those wonderful shows! 🤩 Gathering around the tv definitely died with our generation, methinks.

The other theme songs are also iconic, but obviously for more nostalgic reasons. 😂

Thank you, Chanel!!! 🙏That means a lot to me, as a fellow writer and Lucille Ball fan.

And no, I didn't know that! Her biography is endlessly fascinating. I hope this post wasn't too boring because I imagine you knew a lot of the facts already. 😅 But I'm really glad to know another devotee of hers! Thanks again!
